An incredible one-of-a-kind villa that appears to almost float above the coastline has become the most viewed property in Australia this week.

‘Villa Casa’, situated at Ready Creek on the Gold Coast in Queensland, has had more views than any other house in the country this week, according to data from Real Estate.

Boasting 180-degree views of the Gold Coast skyline, it features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and nearly 5,000 square metres of Mediterranean-inspired interiors, curves and arches.

The block was originally bought by parents and interior designers Ben Rochford and Dominee Gessner when it came up for sale in August 2018.

Prior to buying it, they had lived across the road.

‘We had walked up on this block a few times and were like “wow this is a whole new elevation up here”,’ Ms Gessner told Real Estate.

‘We were excited to stay in the street firstly and just see what we could do with this property. We knew it was bigger and the opportunity to do something really special with this block was there.’

Ms Gessner explained that her years of renovating and working as an interior designer lent her an opinion on what the ‘ultimate family layout’ should look like.

The family lived in an adjoining granny flat while they designed the build of their dreams.

‘Villa Casa’ was finally completed in November 2021 and today, it has countless standout features.

The house boasts a stylish magnesium pool with swim-up bar, a designer kitchen with details from Israel and a half-moon island bench that took ‘eight men to carry half at a time’.

It also has a terrace with a built-in barbecue, games room and sun-soaked living room with the panoramic views.

Earlier this year, the property was labelled House of the Year at the Gold Coast Master Builders Awards.

The couple are selling so that they can focus on another renovation project.

‘It’s just what we do. We have been programmed to do this,’ Ms Gessner said.
