A buyer’s new home has ties to a popular Australian crime drama series on Stan.
The fixer-upper at 674 Crystalbrook Road in Crystal Brook, Queensland, has just sold at auction for $565,000 and features as one of the main sets for Stan Original Series Black Snow.
Black Snow investigates the fictional 1995 murder of 17-year-old Isabel Baker, a crime that was never solved and shocked the town of Ashford and the South Sea Islander community.
Fast forward to 2020 and the opening of a time capsule puts detective James Cormack (played by Travis Fimmel) in pursuit of the killer.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom property, located in a rural locale in the Whitsunday region, is a 115-year-old Queenslander that’s in dire need of a renovation.
Situated on an almost nine-acre block, the home is “begging for someone to bring this old lady back to her former glory,” as stated on the listing by PRD Whitsunday.
However, the property does offer potential with a large front verandah and oversized rooms.
The kitchen takes on a retro feel with dated blue and beige cabinetry, and there’s also a mural on one of the bedroom walls.
Other retro design features include the bold vinyl flooring, dated red carpet and wood-panelled walls.
The property also offers a five-bay shed and is surrounded by mango trees.
Stan’s Black Snow premiered in January and was filmed entirely in North Queensland.
According to Screen Queensland, it injected an estimated $10 million into the state economy and created 550 jobs for Queenslanders.
Crystal Brook offers the utmost of privacy with a population of just 186 and an average age demographic of 40 to 59 years.
